About The Team
Welcome! Gamecock Club Swim is an organization for active, retired, or new athletes interested in competitive swimming. We offer practices for all skill levels, Monday through Thursday. Each semester, the team travels to competitions, swimming against, but also interacting with other collegiate club swim teams. GCS is a blast and we hope to see you soon!

Co-President
My name is Ben Atwood, I am a junior finance and marketing major from Charleston, SC. I am the secretary of the club swim team at USC. I have swam my whole life, and going into college I wanted to join the club swim team to make friends and stay in shape. I have really enjoyed being able to become so involved, and it has really enhanced my college experience. Other than swimming, I enjoy playing basketball, hanging out with my friends, and playing guitar.

I am Maddy Reed and I am a Neuroscience major on the premed track from Glenview, IL. I have been swimming competitively since I was five and love the community of people this sport has given me. Serving as VP last year and now President has been truly amazing! I swim butterfly and backstroke primarily, sometimes also IM. Outside of club swim I am in the Honors College, Tri Delta sorority, undergraduate research, Med Elem Club, and volunteer at Prisma Children's Hospital!

Hey y’all! My name is Sophia Conner and I’m a sophomore from Asheville, NC. I’m majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Art Studio and I’m on the pre dental track. I’ve been swimming since I was 4 and coach my high-school swim team during their season! Outside of swimming, I love to reading and running. I’m currently training for a triathlon and a half marathon next semester!

My name is Adam, I’m a junior from Washingtonville, NY, and I’m a physical education major at USC. I started swimming when I was 4, and like a lot of kids, absolutely hated it. 17 years later, here I am on club swim at USC, and I couldn’t be happier that I stuck with the sport. I like to workout, listen to music, and watch as well as go to sporting events in my free time.

My name is Tripp Herger and I am a senior finance and accounting major from Charlotte, NC. I have been swimming since I was 4 years old and began swimming year-round at 10. Swimming has always been something I am very passionate about and have been lucky enough to help coach the 6 and unders on my summer league team for the past 5 years. Beyond swimming, I really love solving puzzles, hanging out with friends, and watching football (Go Steelers!)

Hi! I’m Lizzie Patterson and I am a sophmore from Naperville, IL. I am majoring in finance and accounting and I have been competitively swimming since I was 5. In my free time I love trying new restaurants, spending time with friends, working out, and reading.

I am Kerry Stewart and I’m a Biology major with a minor in Medical Humanities and Culture on the pre-med track. I am from West Chester, PA and I have been swimming since I was four years old. I joined club swim my freshman year and my favorite event is the 100 back. Outside of club swim I am apart of AED, TriBeta, MedElem, Public Health Society, and do undergraduate research. I also love hanging out with my friends and reading.

My name is Karina Martinez, and I’m from Spartanburg SC! I’m a Biology major with a Spanish minor on the pre-med track! I’m this years co-philanthropy chair and hope to create the best event to help our team engage with the community! Fun fact I’m originally from California and love doing triathlons!

My name is Sofia Montoya, and I am a sophomore from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania majoring in Exercise Science. I started swimming when I was 4 and joined competitive swimming when I was 9. Other than club swim, I love spending time outside and with friends!!

My name is Eli Babcock, and I am a junior Exercise Science major, double minoring in Business Administration and Psychology. I am from Blacksburg, Virginia and I have been swimming for almost 8 years. I joined Gamecock Club Swim my freshman year fall and it has introduced me to so many great people. Apart from swimming, I am a member of AED, a pre-professional health society, a women’s health research lab, and work for Gamecock Olympic Nutrition. I love to workout, make new friends, and my favorite event is the 100 backstroke.

Hey everyone, my name is Campbell Chambers and I am an Integrated Information Technology major, double-minoring in Business Administration and Computer Science. I am from Raleigh, NC, and I have been swimming ever since I was 4 years old. I joined Gamecock Club Swim at the start of my freshman year and have made so many great friends and memories. Apart from swimming, I am a member of PSE, a pre-professional business fraternity. Outside of the pool, I enjoy working out, playing Fortnite and hanging out with friends. Also, my favorite event is 100 butterfly (Every day, I wonder why).

Hey there! My name is Tommy Mitchell and I'm an Integrated Information Technology major from South Jersey. I've been swimming competitively since 8 years old, and swam for the university team my freshman and sophomore years. I joined club swim my junior year and it's led me to meet so many awesome people. Outside of club swim, I like to play video games, and hang out with friends. My favorite event is also 500 freestyle.

I’ve been swimming since the 5th grade and my favorite event is the 100 fly. I’ve been a member of club swim since freshman year, but I am also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and involved in Sustainable Carolina!

I started swimming at the age of 6 and it has been a major part of my life. This team has allowed me to meet my best friends while also doing something I love.
